aspirations

As i've been contemplating whether to stay at uni or try to get an internship in the real estate industry ( as i want to do property development), i have come up with things in my life i want to achieve or gain and things i would hate to happen.

Goto Japan

Perve on tokyo's Peak Hour frenzy, Shake hands and take photos with Harajuku kids, and experience sake in a dim little bar off some small laneway.

Goto Paris

Only for one reason.... BUY THINGS!

One thing in particular is to be able to buy something from Hermes, preferably a belt like the one below. ALthough i do not currently own a belt, i know if i had an hermes one id wear it all the time.

meet and have a conversation with rachel zoe

Hopefully one day she will Tweet too much information about her location and i can find her, tell her how "bananas" she is but then pull out a supersized big mac meal and say " i'd die if u actually ate this.". Also if there was time, i'd want to draw a giant smile on Taylor's (girl on the right)face. If you have ever watched The Rachel Zoe Project, you would probably know why.

Own an all black Range Rover Vogue

Call it an obnoxious, protentious, "brand whore" overrated gas guzzler, I DO NOT CARE! nothing will change how i feel about them and how desperate i am to own one before i'm 30... seems as though it is 12 years away i better get saving.

Learn to commit, TO ANYTHING!

I'm an extremely slack and lazy person for some reason. If things arent going my way or i'm not achieving something quickly, then i completely give up.

a list of things i have given up over the years:

swimming

I started this at a really young age and was fairly good. But once one of the other kids became better than me i quit.... That kid now is a state swimmer.

Athletics

Although i never got to a professional level, i did compete in my high school's athletics squad and in interschool carnivals. After three years of training i quit and gained 15kg.... fun hahaha

working hard in academics

As i was a good student in year 8 and 9 ( in advanced classes) i thought that i would relax in yr10, and i have failed to return to working hard. Cause of this i didnt get into the course i wanted to be in and so i now have to wait 6 months to a year...

Go on a coast to coast road trip of america by a Ford Mustang

being obsessed with america for years i want to experience it for myself. See if they are rightly portrayed as consumerist, materialistic, rednecks who drive SUV's

Own an oversized Birkin

Yes it was originally designed for women, but now Birkin's are being used by Marc Jacobs and Pharrell ( who has a limited edition $67000US birkin) as carry on luggage or a weekend bag. This will only happen if one day i start magically excreting money because it is so much fucking money for a bag.

that is pretty much it for what i can really think of at the moment .... hahhaa

WANTWANTWANTWANTWANTWANTWANT

Being busy with work and uni, has left me neglecting my blog so here is some of the stuff which i desperately want.
During the summer festival season i saw many people wearing the AM eyewear samantha sunglasses which i have wanted for a long while.

I had admired and wanted them for a good year but never saw them at a store around Perth until the last few months. I saw them in a store and fell for them fast. My heart was racing when the shop assistant handed them to me to try on, and as i looked into the mirror through the AM lenses, my heart sank. They looked shithouse on me...

Today i looked around the city before work and found these beauties at the store, subway DC. The sunnies are made by New Zealand fashion designer Karen Walker who has been making a name for her brand in Australia, New York, and London. Trying them on was an insane experience, the exact same way i first felt about the AM sunnies is how i felt about the KW's. While looking into the mirror with the sunnies on i asked the shop assistant, " so how much are these?" and she answered with, " oh, only $329."........... Right 'ONLY'.
With this said i did end up putting them on lay-by without even thinking about how ill pay for the rest of it, but i'll find a way....... dear god i will find a way.

Having friends who are also keen on fashion i have always overheard girls (and even some guys) talk about the British brand/ store Topshop. For those who have never heard of it before, It began in the mid 60's as a department store brand. Having criticism for there bland design in their early years, after new marketing, designers and publicity, Topshop has reinvented themselves to a global name.

I have also been introduced to the men's version of Topshop named 'Topman' and has caused me to feel an extreme need to find hundreds of dollars to spend on their online store.

Depending on what you get it is extremely cheap (thank you falling price of the Great British Pound). I have seen the Asics that Uma Thurman wear on Kill Bill at stores in Perth ranging from $160-$180AU, while on topman.com i found them for £60 which is just under $100AU.

Here's some stuff i want:

Being a fan of anything oversized, or with an asymmetric or geometric design, my eye was drawn to this tshirt. Although only coming in white, some may think there isn't much to it, but due to the design it doesn't need to be overpowering. It would look good with a pair of shorts and vans for summer, pair of chinos and a cardi for autumn, or even a pair of jeans with a dark hoody or jacket. for roughly $50, bargain.

For years i've wanted the American "jock jacket", this has been one of the best looking one i have seen in this price range. Would look really cool with any basic tshirts in blue, purple or red.

This suit is pretty cool. This as well as all of Topman's suits are great value for money. Starting at £100, and only £200 for the pants and blazer above is insane. This is probably due to me spending more than 3 times as much for a similar Marc Jacobs suit. 10/10

I don't think this jacket needs an explanation.... haven't seen a jacket like this before. This is DEFINITELY the next thing on my list to get for winter.

...is really considering dipping into my "BALI IN JULY" account to buy this stuff.

The "elderly" club kid

Looking at the image above, you could mistake it for Lady Gaga in 50 years time, but you're wrong. This is DJ Ruth Flowers, she is 69 years old and a household name on the Paris club scene.

She was first introduced to the scene when her grandson invited her out with his friends after his birthday party.
"The doorman, he says "no, no madam. You are too old!" And i said NOO! I LIKE THIS MUSIC VERY MUCH!", Flowers explained.

Flowers has told reporters that she loves various artists such as Lady Gaga, but as well as Iron Maiden, Bob Marley and Queen.
Some are sceptical about her true love and knowledge about electronic music, as some think she might be just another publicity stunt. With this aside, you have to give her credit on breaking the mould of knitting, slippers and lawn bowls like many of the ageing population are trapped in.

" I'd rather sign a contract with a record company than to sign up for a nursing home!"- Ruth Flowers
