Back to school...

As i'm transferring to Curtin University and starting on monday, i have not been figuring out where my lectures and other classes will be, or trying to see what interesting clubs they have to offer, but i have been trying to figure out decent stuff to wear to uni... which has led me to spending over the past few weeks.

American Apparel singlet; Op shop cardigan; Rusty boardshorts

Dangerfield tshirt and varsity jacket; Cheap Monday jeans

I love this tshirt as it really pinpoints Lohan's down-turning career. People always have something to say about it so its a great conversation starter.

Clothes for uni should be stylish comfortable yet effortless. I know at certain Uni's you see many people trying extremely hard with girls looking like the just walked off The Hills. Theres a time and place for that which is going out or shopping, not during lectures.

Here are some ideas for an effortless (or effortless looking), comfortable and stylish look for uni.

Victoria Beckham designs a Range Rover?

Victoria Beckham. Former Spice Girl, Current Range Rover designer? WTF

To me and other people, a Range Rover is a status symbol car. They are the epitome of luxury, wealth and an "i don't give a fuck about the planet" obnoxious attitude. I personally think this latest addition holds none of these qualities.

I feel they just copied the idea of a Mini Cooper  but gave it a higher suspension, and a squished body height. Its supposed to be aimed at city dwelling women from 18-35... but to all people in this demographic, would you really buy this cheap looking thing with range rover stamped on the bonnet?

revolve fashion king

Stumbled across two very promising online stores today during my random internet scanning. www.revolveclothing.com and http://www.modekungen.se

Revolve is an American online store stocking labels such as Chronicles of Never, DVF, Jeffrey Campbell, Nudie Jeans Co, MCQ by Alexander McQueen, and many more.

Free International Shipping for orders over $100USD.... not too bad at all.

Fashion King is a Sweedish online store with an eclectic range of vintage, rock and pop culture inspired pieces. Probably the biggest downfall of it is that it's all in Sweedish. This is something the are supposedly fixing soon but in the mean time u can use google translator or you can email them (in english) with
- Full name
- Full Address
- Email & Phone Number
- What to Order
and they'll get onto it.

Also don't be discouraged by the prices, as 1 Sweedish Kronor is worth 15 Australian cents.

insufficient funds.

Recently i quit my job for some reason, not realising that i had $300 with bills to pay. It's been 6 days since i left and i now have no bills (for now) and $93.44 in my account. To some that may be "managable" but for someone who used to spend $15 to drive and park in the city for work due to being too lazy to get to the train on time, it really isn't.

And whats the best thing to do when unemployed with no income coming in? Shop and online window shop of course.

Looking through the American Apparel online store i found myself wanting one black and one white Viscose Sexuali-tee (pictured above). Having purchased one before I liked how lightweight the material is, but loathed how easily it tears and rips. So at a price of $52 each, it really didn't seem like an option.Instead i bought similar ones from cotton on for $30 the two. BARGAIN

The next few things, aren't so much of a bargain...

I have never really been a fan of Louis Vuitton. Probably due to the influx of the tacky brown or multicoloured monogram bags in the early to mid 2000s which we can thank to slut Paris Hilton.

But in 2008 i was surprised to see the Damier Graphite collection. Compared to other stuff from Louis Vuitton at the time i personally thought that this was what a true luxury brand item was supposed to look like.

I found out that the Keepall 55 (bag pictured above with Pharrell), was roughly $1900, and the wallet was about $600. So i really don't think i'll be getting them anytime soon.

One thing i do like to collect are sunglasses

But compared to most pairs I collect or like, these have less of an impact but won't date as terribly as extremely circular lenses. For roughly $200 these are a good investment as you can wear them for several years to come instead of just one.

I am thoroughly not enjoying being unemployed and plan making many copies of my resume to apply EVERYWHERE! if you know of somewhere please let me know haha.

lookbook likings and V magazine

After a good time scrolling through lookbook.nu, i found these looks.

V Magazine has been around since 1999 but i have only discovered it recently. From celebrities to ready to wear fashion this high quality, visually-driven magazine has some amazing and inspirational photography which i suggest for people to check out. Hopefully i can find it at borders or somewhere in Perth because i'd rather flick through the glossy pages than viewing the two dimensional image on my macbook pro's small 13 inch screen.
