sunglasses, i love fake and clothes

Today i got my new sunnies from bitchingandjunkfood.com and i'm extremely happy with them, as well as the service.

Being an overseas online store, i thought that i would have to wait a couple of weeks like others.
*cough*AMERICAN APPAREL*cough*
It took 5 business days and all up i spent only $40.80! bargain

Recently i stumbled across this website called ilovefakemagazine.com, and have been very pleased with what its got to offer. Whether its inspiration is from British teens, Courtney Love or even aliens and monsters, I Love Fake will use an interesting and "in your face" approach to present the avant-garde and experimental in fashion.

here are some of my favourites:

I pretty much want everything on that table. It would satisfy my materialistic wants.... for five minutes.

Extremely cool, but i feel cramps in my feet by just looking at them.

Intergalactic planet-junkie.
The leggings would look really good as an oversized tee or singlet in a jersey material.

the overdone as well as the up and coming

Although i love leather jackets, and will continue to wear them, the increase of this trend, as well as blazers and shoulder pads for Australian winter 2010 is making it appeal to people who really shouldn't be wearing them, e.g. little derro bogan juvies.

As this is the case, i've been clicking around the interweb in order to find potential new trends or make these trends stand out.

RIDING PANTS

(images above from www.shopnastygal.com)

The riding pant is a look only a few will be able to pull off. To be safe i would say only invest in this if you're taller than 5ft 6 and are less than a sz 10 aus. The high rise, stretch material and creamy beige colour will be extremely unflattering to some. If wanting to get a pair and not complying to these restrictions, maybe a pair in a black or a navy blue will be more flattering and more versatile.  Cream pants would be good for a very preppy look with a white navy or black blazer, While black would look with any bright coloured blazer e.g. red, any bright blue, green or yellow.

LEATHER JACKETS

Leather Jackets are a great addition to an outfit but the main problem that i see many people do is leave it as the main statement of the outfit. If the jacket is a fairly conventional style (in laymans terms plain) it needs to have something else to interest the eye. The can be done with many of the design elements. including colour, texture and focal point.

Most oversized accessories will add the interest needed, but may not be to everyones taste.

Whether the clothes teamed with the jacket, or the jacket itself are a bold colour, this will without a doubt gain attention. but make sure NOT to have too many colours in the outfit.

Aswell as this, there are a few trends waiting to be consumed by chain stores

MESH...

Perhaps not for winter (except for layering) but in the warmer months everyone will be seeing mesh! I already know that people will be wearing it in the wrong way.
(images source: www.americanapparelstore.com.au)

To wear a mesh singlet, make sure nothing on your torso jiggles. If it does, either put a cotton singlet on underneath or put it DOWN! If looking in the mirror and feeling unsure about how you look in it, it is best to leave it to the anorexics and bigorexics.

THE VARSITY JACKET

Will be big either this winter or the next. Make sure to buy one post haste....

forgive the lateness of my reply

Ok yes, it has been far too long since my last post, but since friends have been bitching about it I thought I should do one to shut them up :)

I've been working loads lately and really getting sick of it. With this said it is helping me fund certain things such as:
• the new doc martens I bought
• my groovin the moo ticket
• and saving up for Melbourne in a few months.

... As well as numerous bills but that isn't as important.

After years of trying to find an old beaten up pair of sz 10 doc martens, I finally gave in and paid for a new pair of black ones. I picked them up for $160, which is pretty decent compared to dangerfield who are selling them for $230.

I'm aggrovated that I had to buy a new pair but i'm sure I'll have fun scraping them against a few walls and getting the dirt and mud on at festivals. I will be sure to make good use of these for winter.

Hopefully in the next few months i will be travelling to the magical land of Melbourne in the hopes to for-fill shopping, partying and drinking adventures. I've saved roughly $1000 and hope to save another $2000 to go on a drunken partying and spending spree throughout the alleys and vintage stores of the city, to the lacoste and Nudie Jeans concept stores of suburban Chadstone.

The melbourne wish list so far includes:

American Apparel stuff in general
