Procrastination during my exams led me to my room. I was getting over how i could never find clothes, and when i did, they stank. I also bought some new stuff. heres some photos of how it spruced up.
Bedside tables and pillows from Ikea; Lamps from Freedom; Fur Blanket from Adairs

As well as cleaning i have done a fair bit of shopping in the past few months. I should probably stop buying sunglasses in winter, right now...

kate kate kate

I am currently intrigued by the stylishly androgynous senior style director of US Elle, Kate Lanphear for a few reasons.

1) most of the stuff she wears on a day to day basis can be masculine enough for a guy to wear, or if your a girl you can do what she does and add certain statement pieces such as heels or jewellery to make it less manly. I haven't seen gender versatility with women's fashion like in a while so i give her props for that.

2) Her hair. I don't want to know how unhealthy, damaged or dead it is, it's fucking cool and due to my almost jet black hair, i would never be able to pull it off so i want what i can't have.

3) No matter how sleep or food deprived she looks in photos, she is 100% committed to her career and i hope one day i'll have at least half the drive and ambition she has.

eyewear winterwear rings and footwear

Nothing says class and style than what appears to be knock off Chanel shutter/comb sunglasses. Once you have finished wearing them on your nose for no real reason (other than being a douche), i guess you can comb your ratty over processed hair with them.

Now to the good stuff.
I'm a fan of statement eyewear as it can make an outfit looking instantly more expensive. Eyewear trends include, wayfarer inspired (not normal ray bans), circular frames and/or circular frames, and flat tops.

Recently i've bought three new pairs of sunglasses, not sure why three but oh well. The first pair i bought are exactly the same as the ones in the image above except they're in a brown/tortoise. For $20 i'm pretty happy.

The other two were bought on bitchingandjunkfood.com. The ones below i contemplated buying when they first came out, but decided not to. When i decided that i was going to commit to buying them, of course they sell out...  I received an email from them on Monday saying that there online again and so i got them. I'm still unsure where i'm gonna wear them other than halloween as lady gaga or maybe a music festival but they are a hell interesting addition to my sunglasses collection.

The other pair i bought are called chunky wayfarers. I really like them, they hell remind me of the ksubi pairs above, but for a 1/10th of the price at £16, which is roughly $30AUD. They're from Bitching and Junkfood but they aren't officially on the online store yet. I saw them on their blog and emailed them asking whether i could buy them with the circle sunglasses above as it would save on shipping. Waiting for a no from them i was surprised to actually hear that they would! So fingers crossed i'll get them today or first thing Monday.

The old days

Exams are completed. No uni for 6 WEEKS AND 4 DAYS! A whole lot of time designated for nothing means posts more frequently. I went through all my photos in my laptop which is over several years of my life. It showed how soo much can change as well how many phases i can go through. Here are a few of the less embarrassing ones.

My mum (crazy 90s perm) , cousin and myself in Victoria.
According to mum, my clothes were from oshkosh bgosh... bahahaha

Fast forward 12 and a half years and we come to my emo fringe and plaid hoody..

Hilarious.

By the summer of 2006/2007 i cut most of my hair and dyed it brown.. unfortunately by the end of summer it has turned orange :S

So many good memories from that summer. I wish i could go back and re-live it all over again.

Thanks to getting my first job (at boost juice) i was able to buy some pretty cool stuff, but looking back at it, most of it was terrible.

To clear this up, i NEVER wore this in public. Let's leave it at that

Who doesn't want to match their shoes with their shirt and their shirt with their tshirt? Man i was cool :|

The photo above was from the summer of 2008/2009. At this point i had been attempting to cut my own hair. Obviously it didn't come out too well.

At the start of year 12 i came to my senses and started going back to the hairdressers. The suit i'm wearing is my favourite suit. It's a shiny Marc Jacobs suit that i will hold onto forever. Not just cause it's Marc Jacobs but because of the memories i've had wearing it. Every time i think back about it i smile about the stupid stuff that suit got me into.
